SCHOOL AGE

As children grow, it is important that they get to experience the world around them and learn through exploring a safe environment surrounded by loving, caring, nurturing role models. Our educators understand the trust that you as a parent are placing in their hands. They strive each day to make a lasting impression and build a love of learning for your child. Care routines are important in this age group and we want to ensure we are doing our best to keep your routine and structure in place to aid in transitioning from home to school.

As children transition from crawling to walking they now become more determined to have hands-on experiences that are safe and allow them to explore this giant world. Our educators track milestones for your child, making sure that they are on target for their age. We use Florida Early Learning Development Standards to monitor and stretch your child’s learning. This assists our teachers in building lesson plans that support your child in receiving a well-balanced education while preparing them for future academic success.

Children in our Early Preschool classroom are growing and learning at a rapid rate. Our educators are always diligently working to plan out lesson plans to support this fast pace learning. Using Florida Early Learning development standards, our educators ensure they are tracking each child’s learning progress and tailoring learning for children to achieve their milestones. Our environment is designed to support children with the opportunity to explore math, reading, writing, literacy, science, and many more learning domains through active play and hands-on learning experiences.

Children are eligible for this program if they are Florida residents and 4 years old before September 1st of the current school year. Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) is a free program offered to all Florida families. In this program, your child will learn, grow and develop new skills to help aid them in kindergarten success and future grade levels. Children will have the opportunity to explore a classroom environment built on trust, safety and designed to assist them in learning and developing new skills in math, reading, literacy, science, social studies, language, social development, and so much more!

Children who participate in our VPK program have the opportunity to develop their learning past the approved VPK hours. Our educators continue to use the Florida Early Learning Development Standards to track and monitor their progress in learning milestones specific to their age. This opportunity allows your child to have a full day of learning!

We offer summer programs filled with new experiences, recreational activities, and continued learning. Children get to decompress and relax while still working towards achieving their developmental milestones. We offer a before and after-school program providing your child with a safe environment to come to before and after school. We know that your child’s mind is filled with lots of new information from their school day and our environment is designed to allow them the flexibility in choosing how to calm down from the day. Your child will be able to finish up their homework, have some quiet time, and/or play and interact with their peers.
